Stéphane Gallet got into theater and music as a teenager. He started out as
an actor and worked alongside Jerzy
Grotowski and
"La Main Nue" Theater Company.

He also studied Gregorian cnant with Iégor Reznikof, Indian music with
Nageshvara-Rao, and focused his work on
Turkish
music with Kudsi Erguner.

As an actor, musician,singer and composer, he honed his craft by embracing
all types of stage work : theater, singing and instrumental performances. He
feels at ease with Greek drama, modern poetry and the classics.

Stéphane Gallet also worked under the direction of Peter Brook, Mehmet
Ulusoy, Charles Joris and Lionel Parlier,
and
attended workshops with Farid Paya, Philippe Adrien, Gilles Nicolas.

He studied classical singing with Lyse Arsegnet, Pierre Mervant, Françoise
Sémélaze, and went on to develop further
insights into diphonic and traditional singing techniques. He sang under the
direction of Jean-Claude Malgoire, David Hyker, Catherine Schroeder, and
Fayçal Karoui.
